Gbe 24/6® is a unique Ginkgo biloba extract from start to finish. The raw material is extracted from specially cultivated leaves of the Ginkgo tree that are hand-picked and processed immediately. This ensures a high terpene lactone and flavone glycoside content. Research has shown the active ingredients in Ginkgo biloba extract to be a class of terpene lactones known as ginkgolides. Ginkgolide B is the most important of these powerful constituents because of its potent inhibition of platelet aggregating factor (PAF). Although platelets serve a beneficial role in wound clotting, many degenerative diseases are directly related to increased inflammation caused by excessive platelet aggregation.
