Maitake (Grifola frondosa) is the Japanese name for one type of edible mushroom that is highly nutritious and is regarded for its taste and health benefits. Also called “dancing mushroom”, maitake is a traditional adaptogenic herb valued for its reputation to promote wellness, vitality, and longevity. Today, this mushroom is recognized for its beta-glucan content, a unique polysaccharide that helps support immune system function. Cultivating this mushroom is challenging, as maitake is extremely sensitive to environmental changes. Over the past 20 years, Japanese farmers have learned how to produce high-quality maitake mushrooms for both culinary and medicinal purposes. Both products incorporate the healing properties of these phenomenal mushrooms and maintain the nutritional profile and natural fiber content of the original fungus. BetaPreme® is a dry deodorized mushroom extract powder, containing a minimum of 25% beta-glucans. BetaPreme® is reduced to a very fine 10 micron particle size for enhanced digestibility.
